Are you curious about starting a business? The fastest-growing category of business startups in Australia is people over 50, and maybe it’s time for you to join them!
Business Kickstarter workshops are designed to put entrepreneurship, the most powerful tool on the planet for creating social and economic value, in the hands of the most experienced people on the planet. Participants explore the mindset of an entrepreneur and practice the methodology of creative thinking, learning and building on ideas. They draw upon who they are, what they know, who they know, and what resources they have at hand.
This workshop is designed to give you the tools to decide if running a business is for you, and look for the idea that will form the heart of your new business.
In this one-day workshop you’ll cover:
• Idea generation
• Decoding your entrepreneurial history
• How to access support and resources
• Business model essentials
• Next steps
The workshop is delivered throughout the year by Joanna Maxwell. It’s run in a small group format so everyone has a chance to participate.
Joanna’s ideas and advice were key to my confidence when I started up my catering business. She wouldn’t let me see my age as a barrier, and she taught our whole group the skills we needed to survive that important first year. It was very interactive, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and talk about our individual situations. Really the best part was the fun and laughter (free of charge!). I recommend Joanna to anyone thinking about a business.
